a) die Internationalisierung des vorhandenen Materialbestands sowie künfti-ger Sendungen, so dass das Programm des Universitätsfernsehens den Partneruniversitäten der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität zur Verfügung gestellt werden können;
b) die Förderung einer Produktion von mehrsprachigen Universitätsfernsehprogrammen an den Partneruniversitäten der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität und deren Austausch mit Campus-TV Mainz;
c) die mittel- bis langfristige Entwicklung eines internationalen, wissenschaftsjournalistischen Fernsehformats inklusive des Produktionsablaufes sowie der Verbreitungsweisen;
I) Project description
In April 1999 the University Broadcasting Service Campus-TV of the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz went on the air. Since then the programmes of Campus-TV have been broadcasted, regionally via Open Channel Mainz and the Culture Channel K3 and non-regionally via Internet as Web Television.
In the meantime the University Television has collected unique know how by having produced more than 70 programmes covering current topics in Research and Science, contributions relating to studying and living on the campus, and a range of special and live broadcastings. To advance the Campus-TV an internationalisation of the University Television in the context of a EU measure is being planned.
In the course of the internationalisation Campus-TV Mainz cooperates with „Kinder-Uni“ (University for children) and the NaT-working Schüler/innenlabor of the Johannes Gutenberg-University, being established in 2000. Particular events, e.g. summer camps, are supposed be internationalised and documented by Campus-TV.
Tasks of the internationalisation measure are:
a) the internationalisation of existing materials and future broadcastings in order to provide the programm of the university television to partner universities of the Johannes Gutenberg-University;
b) the promotion of a production of multilingual university television programmes at partner universities of the Johannes Gutenberg-University and their exchange with Campus-TV Mainz;
c) the short- and medium-term development of an international television standard for scientific journalism including the production flow and the broadcasting methods;
d) the enhancement and the consolidation of scientific journalism-related media skills on international levels which were acquired within the context of Campus-TV;
