About me
I am a native English speaker with a certificate in English/Spanish translation/interpretation from Pima Community College in Tucson, AZ; however, my language skills have come more from real-life experiences than the classroom since I live and work close to the Mexican border. I am married to a Peruvian citizen and have traveled extensively throughout Peru and Mexico and lived in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba for a year.

I have done a lot of work as a volunteer in both translation and interpretation in and around southern Arizona and as far away as South Dakota and Peru. Most of my translation and interpretation experience has been in the legal field but I am rather comfortable working in the commercial field. From time to time I work with federal law enforcement as a linguist and hold a government security clearance. I also work as a bilingual commercial driving instructor.

I have experience working in the military, agriculture, transportation, golf courses and sports such as cycling and running. This experience has aided me in translation since many of the terms used in English and Spanish are not foreign to me

I am familiar and have experience with Microsoft Word, Dragon Naturally Speaking, TRADOS, Excel, Power Point and Adobe Acrobat.

Best regards,

Matthew Fuzzey

Saludos,

Matthew Fuzzey
