I was born and raised in Berlin, Germany, obtained my teaching certificate in Berlin, specializing in languages.
Even though I am a teacher by profession I have always had a great love for languages.
Out of personal interest I took Spanish and have a basic understanding of the language. I also took Swedish and have retained a working knowledge in the Scandinavian languages, (having visited Norway, Sweden and Denmark at various times). I took a Russian course, but have only retained the knowledge of the Cyrillic alphabet and can still read it.

I have also been to England at different times before emigrating to Canada in 1974.
I taught ESL in Quebec for several years. We have always lived in a predominantly French area, not only in Quebec , but in New Brunswick as well which has allowed me to further my knowledge of French written and orally..
I am competent in either German to English or English to German translation.

I also take on French to English/ French to German for general texts.

Because of family staying there, we had the opportunity to visit the Middle East, Bahrain, and gained valuable insight into the culture and customs there.

Prices range from CAD$0.05 to CAD$0.12 per word, based on the level of difficulty.

I have a particular interest/expertise in translating handwritten German script and working with old documents.
