 I’m a
full-time freelance professional translator into European Portuguese, with more
than 20 years’ experience, based in Porto, Portugal.

I
specialize in software localization and I have worked extensively in projects
for Microsoft and other companies, namely Sony, Nintendo, Steam and iOS/Android
platforms for games and apps, and have acquired full proficiency in
localization for the Mac/Windows environment, being involved in the
localization of the Mac OS/Windows/Office and localization/LQA of the iOS Apple
Store.

I have also
translated marketing content, focused on transcreation/market adaptation, for
several Fortune 500 companies, amongst them Uber, Pinterest, Apple, Microsoft
and the Expedia and Accor groups.

Finally,
I’m very experienced in automotive/technical projects from English/French into
European Portuguese, such as for Renault (agricultural machinery), Peugeot
(User manuals), Facom (tools catalogues), Virax, Cermex, Decathlon (website
content), Toyota (service manuals), Suzuki (user manuals), Case New Holland,
Rolls-Royce (marketing texts on website) and many others.

I have a
college degree in Translation/Localization and a Pos-graduation in Terminology
and Conference Interpreting.

As far as
experience with CAT tools, I work mainly with Studio and memoQ, but also with XTM, Memsource and Smartling.
