I first became interested in translation during my undergraduate course. This interest developed, and I now work full time translating and pursuing an MA in Translation Studies. In January 2008 I passed the Institute of Linguists' Diploma examination, gaining a distinction in the literature and general papers.
My main fields of work are marketing and education. My experience also covers social sciences, ecology, especially permaculture, history, the visual arts and music. When translating, I place great emphasis on context research, in order to find the right word for every occasion.
Aside from translation, I am a keen musician, having in the past studied at the Jazz Schule, Berlin. In April 2007 I completed the Permaculture Design Course, and I am particularly interested in translating texts relating to the environment, ecology and particularly sustainable development |
