What is infrared (IR) radiation?
Infrared (IR) radiation is invisible to the human eye.
It’s part of the electromagnetic spectrum (which also includes radio frequencies, microwaves and ultraviolet), and is just beyond the visible light band.
All objects naturally reflect, transmit and emit IR energy.
By sensing the IR energy emitted from an object’s surface, a XXX IR thermometer can accurately determine its temperature.
The instruments are adjusted to compensate for the transmitted and reflected IR energy.
What are the benefits of non-contact measurement?
IR allows non-contact temperature measurement, which means you don’t have to physically touch the surface being measured with a probe.
This has clear safety benefits as it reduces the danger of electric shocks and burns.
There are also speed advantages as an IR thermometer can take several temperature readings in a matter of seconds, whereas contact techniques may take minutes to reach a stable reading.
The temperature of hard-to-reach objects can also be measured, and there is no risk of surface contamination.

The game casts you as anti-hero ^^Kratos^^, an unpleasant warrior on a quest for revenge against a background of Greek mythology.
In this blood-drenched, third-person action adventure, Kratos will use his dual chain swords (a bit like the yo-yo-esque ^^Diskarmor^^ in ##Tecmo##'s ^^Rygar^^) to slice through harpies, hydras, minotaurs and all manner of Grecian legends, before facing the gods themselves.

^^Shrek 3^^, ^^The Incredibles 2^^ - what a result
Two of the animation world's biggest hits are set to return to videogames in new titles.
##Activision## has announced it is to develop and publish games based on Shrek 3 - but don't get excited just yet, as the film isn't due out until 2007!
Nearer on the radar is a second game based on ##Pixar##'s The Incredibles, which ##THQ## is preparing for release later this year.
Confirmed for both PlayStation 2 and PSP, it's promised that the game will flesh out the Incredibles experience considerably.
The first game did a cracking job of capturing the film's atmosphere and sold - yes - incredibly well, so this is a more than welcome sequel.

One of our favourite games of 2004 is set to get a makeover in 2005 while still attaining a budget price label.

Dos de los mayores éxitos de la animación cinematográfica vuelven a las consolas con nuevos títulos.
