Responsibilities: Translating and proofreading financial and legal documents such as contracts (purchase and leasehold agreements, shareholders’ agreements, etc.), financial statements (income statement, balance sheet and notes), annual, half-year and quarterly results, equity analysis, brochures on financial products and investment vehicles (such as funds and sub-funds), prospectuses, reports on asset and portfolio management, lawsuit-related literature (claims, out-of-court settlements, orders, judgments, etc.), powers of attorney, corporate communications and presentations, press releases, certificates and mainstream press articles on economics and on legal affairs, among others. Occasionally, I also work in the language pair DE>ES.

Creating, maintaining and cleaning up TMs, terminology management for the projects I was responsible for, maintaining term bases and interviewing in-house candidates and evaluating their tests. Project co-ordination: I was responsible for managing freelance translators and post-editors to ensure linguistic standards and quality assurance of the localization projects I was responsible for (Hewlett-Packard and RS Components-Amidata). Apart from leading these localization projects, I collaborated on projects for Best Western Hotels, Tweddle, Renault and EMC Corporation-Documentum. Tools I worked with: SDLX and TRADOS.
