for a long time, high technology and terrorism seemed to belong to two different worlds. terrorism was the weapon of the weak, while technology was the monopoly of the advanced societies, particularly of countries capable of producing sophisticated weapons. but this is no longer the case. technology has become a bridge that allows the weak to gain access to the most powerful weapons. | Translation - Arabic
لطالما بدا التطور العلمى والإرهاب وكأنهما ينتميان إلى عالمين مختلفين. ففى الوقت الذى كانت فيه التكنولوجيا حكراً على المجتمعات المتقدمة لا سيما القادرة منها على إنتاج أسلحة معقدة، ظل الإرهاب هو سلاح الضعفاء. إلا أن الحال لم يعد كما كان، فقد أصبحت التكنولوجيا جسراً يستطيع الضعفاء من خلاله الوصول إلى أقوى الأسلحة. |
