Purpose of Request:
With loan support, MApDEN will be able to purchase equipment and tools to upgrade the factory which will improve production capacity and efficiency in the making of cassava, peanut butter and jams. With increased production, the factory will be able to increase their profit margins.
MApDEN is an organization established in May 1998 by a group of Haitian professionals. It aims at contributing to the national development in the field of agriculture, environment, education, and community development. They work in close collaboration with the Association des Paysans Réunis (APR) in the region of Nippes and the organization Alliance d’Amour (A.A) in Leogane as well as other local and international organizations. They provide environmental education sessions in schools and conduct training seminars for farmers.

A l’aide d’un prêt l’association MApDEN aura la possibilité d’acheter du matériel et des outils pour moderniser l’usine, ce qui améliorera la capacité de production et le rendement dans la préparation de la farine de manioc, du beurre de cacahuète et des confitures. Grâce à une production plus importante, l’usine sera à même d’augmenter ses marges de profit.
L’association MApDEN fut créée en Mai 1998 par un groupe de professionnels haïtiens.
