About me

Experienced freelance translator with many years' experience of the Dutch language. Full time translator since November 1998. Worked in logistics in the Netherlands for 5 years. Since 1998, worked on translation of numerous technical specifications, manuals for computer software and legal documents.

After a colourful variety of careers in logistics, podiatry and the (part-time) military, I finally settled down to become a full-time freelance translator in November 1998. Now I wonder why I did not adopt this career sooner. At least I can draw on wide experience for any job that is presented to me!
I mainly tend to deal with technical documents (civil or mechanical engineering, logistics etc.) and legal contracts, but on occasions I also translate articles concerning art, architecture and many other subjects. My clients will attest that I am always willing to go the extra mile and contribute any suggestions that I may feel appropriate. In Dutch terms: meedenken. Furthermore, deadlines are sacrosanct.

If you are looking for a veteran translator with broad experience of work and life, you have come to the right man.
Keywords: commercial, logistics, military, technical
