First major, paid translation - J. Dijkstra's "A primer in Algol Programming", in 1961 for the IT Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Altogether 50 years of experience as a part-time translator. Discovered investment banking in 1993 with translation of a pitch for the management of Poland's National Investment Funds for the then Kleinwort Benson. Afterwards worked with most of the bulge bracket institutions in London, including Lehman Brothers (no, it wasn't my invoice which tripped them) Merrill Lynch (ditto), JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and the one above them in the pecking order which cannot be named because of a particularly restrictive, 40-page long confidentiality agreement. Jobs included sovereign debt offerings, IPOs and corporate finance transactions concerning banks (i.a. Bank Handlowy and Pekao), telcos (TPSA), gas & oil (PO&GC financing and the whole process of privatisation of PKN Orlen), steel industry (including a two-year effort on an unsuccessful attempt to privatise Huta Katowice), power generation and distribution (i.a. financing for Poland's largest power plants and the National Grid - PSE), aviation (PLL LOT) and urban transport (the Warsaw Metro).

Latest major projects included also the defence sector (RUAVs and the land forces' combat equipment) and electricity generation equipment in conventional power stations.
