My mission is to become a bridge with words between not only people to people, but also to history and to different cultures.

General Information
Freelance German/English - Japanese translator since 1995. Mainly working on subtitling and voice-over for both dramas and documentaries.

Furthermore, have experience in those fields:
Rylics, poems, texts on culture (e.g. UNESCO World Heritage)/classical music/paintings, interviews, liner notes, script (play), newspaper articles etc.

Japanese writing skill is highly appreciated by the agents.

Detailed proofreading skill is also highly appreciated.

Have wide knowledge in humanities, moreover, have considerable knowledge both in social and natural sciences.

Also transcribing Japanese.

In 1996 graduated from Sophia University, Tokyo, Japan. Majored in German Language and Studies.

Subtitling and Voice-over
Have SST G1 lisence and work with it since 2009. Have SST since 2004.
Took voice-over training in 2006.

Have plenty of experience with making subtitles for operas and vocal music incl. religious music.

Others
Have strong interest in history, especially in the Middile Ages in Europe and have a great deal of knowledge. Have considerable experience in translating documents and programs on German history around WWII.

Also have plenty knowledge of art and music from the Middle Ages to Baroque period.
