About me
I am a native speaker of Punjabi and Urdu and provide high-quality linguistic services -- such as translation, interpreting subtitling, critical writing, voice over, editing, transcription, and transcreation -- in my working languages. Though I do not purport to be the best translator with reference to my working languages, what sets me apart from many others is my linguistic talent; my passion for translation; my substantial experience as a teacher of English, translator, and translation researcher; and a number of satisfied clients from UK, USA, Vietnam, and India.

I hold M. Phil linguistics degree, and am currently pursuing my PhD in Translation Studies from the University of Leeds, Leeds, UK. Also, I have worked for around six years as lecturer in English at a public-sector university in Pakistan, where I taught a variety of linguistics-related courses -- such as Communication Skills, Functional English, Qualitative Research Methodology, Sociolinguistics, Psycholinguistics, Bilingualism, Stylistics, Computer Assisted Language Learning, and Critical Discourse Analysis.

I am also a researcher in translation (one of my research papers on translation has been accepted for presentation at an international conference), blogger (my blog URL is http://translationstudiesinfo.blogspot.com/), and writer (the link to my translation-related article is http://www.infobarrel.com/How_to_establish_ones_Business_as_a_Freelance_Translator_Some_Effective_Suggestions_for_Newbie_Translators).

With this strong academic and professional background, I am sure of producing a high-quality work for my clients.
