布什在批评中国人权后抵达出席奥运开幕式
美国总统布什已经抵达中国，准备出席2008年奥运会开幕式。
布什在今天抵达北京的几个小时前，直率地批评了中国的人权记录。
布什在在泰国发表讲话时，赞扬美国与北京之间的经济与外交联盟关系，但表示美国“坚定地反对”中国羁押政治、人权与宗教活动人士。
布什敦促中国给予本国人民更大自由，并说这是中国充分发挥自身潜能的唯一途径。
中国国家主席胡锦涛说，不应把即将举行的北京奥运会变为表达对中国人权纪录不满的政治论坛。
胡锦涛在布什抵达之前在记者会上对外国记者说，来自不同国家的人不可避免地在这个问题上有不同的观点，但是他说，让政治卷入奥运会违背奥林匹克精神。

Bush slams China's human rights record before attending Olympics Opening Ceremony
US President George W. Bush is in China for the 2008 Olympics Opening Ceremony.
Just hours before arriving in Beijing today, Bush candidly criticised China for its human rights record.
In his speech in Thailand, Bush spoke favourably of economic and diplomatic ties between China and the US. However, he said that the US was strongly against China’s oppression of political rights, human rights and religious activists.
Bush urged China to give its citizens more freedom, stating that this was the only way China could unleash its full potential.
On the other hand, China’s President Hu Jintao said that the Beijing Olympics should not be used as a political forum to air dissatisfaction with China’s human rights record.
Before Bush arrived in Beijing, Hu told foreign media at a press conference that different nationalities would naturally have divergent views on the human rights issue but politicising the Olympics would be against the spirit of the Games.
