Translation is what I do for a living, and it's a passion. Even though it may be stressful at times, especially when projects are long and time is short, there's no greater satisfaction when you see you've finished your work within the deadline and the final product is just like you expected it be.
I have worked as an English teacher for more than ten years, which has given me excellent communication skills. During this time, I have taught different levels and subjects, including aviation and business English.
From 2009 to mid 2010 I worked as an interpreter-translator for ECOVAP, a joint-venture of three companies that included Toyo Engineering from Japan, which required all documents, contracts, MOM's, manuals and meetings to be translated into English. As a translator, I have also subtitled educational videos to be used as teaching aid in English as a second language with the software Subtitle Workshop. |
