30 years as translator of Portuguese and Spanish into English, including 14 years as a part-time staff translator at the U.S. Department of State; 3 years at a leading law firm in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Fulltime freelance since 1999.
I lived in Brazil for 8 years, in two four-year stays in different cities. I keep current on Brazilian legal and business issues by subscription to a leading Brazilian newsmagazine, contacts with colleagues in Brazil, and nearly-annual visits.
