About me
*Quality or nothing, because what is worth doing is worth doing well.

● Numerous CAT tools at disposal and proficiency in using them efficiently

+ Subjectively, I enjoy thinking that I have got:
● A sharp linguistic sensitivity, resulting from studying linguistics, stylistics and rhetoric (+'translatology') and my deep and longstanding love for languages
● A good understanding of the "way of thinking" (the "Weltanschauung" (world view) as explained by Humboldt) behind the languages and cultures I am working in and which is needed to adapt logic/psychology (hence the emphasis forms, the linking of sentences, the "topic-focus articulation", etc.) from one language to another, for I have in-depth knowledge of my source languages
● A relatively rich vocabulary, resulting from hours and hours of reading every week in my spare time, for 5+ years

---------- SPECIALTY FIELDS -----------------------------------

Although as any qualified translator I am able to translate various types of 'general topic' contents, acquiring hands-on knowledge when needed, I also have expertise in specialty fields, which I gained either through education, work experience, or out of personal interest.

● Economics and finance: banking, trading, markets, corporate finance, public finance, microfinance + accounting
● Computer science (hardware and software): architecture, storage, networks, cloud computing, virtualization + programming, among other subtopics
● Marketing: everything requiring creative writing and free-flowing style for a persuasive render
● I also have interests in clothing, agriculture, sports (mainly team sports), gambling (esp. sports betting), and tourism/travel

---------- MISCELLANEOUS -----------------------------------

● Volunteer translator/subtitler for the Khan Academy (finance sections, 25+ videos)
● Favorite quote pertaining to translation: Things that you comprehend well will be expressed clearly and words to tell it will come easily.
Nicolas Boileau (personal adaptation)
