A full-time independent translator in Washington, D.C., with strong focus on banking (especially banking technologies), finance, corporate law, development economics, governance, intellectual property, environment, health care, oil and gas, and utilities.
My language pairs are Russian < > English and Hebrew < > English, while major clients include IMF, EBRD, OECD, USAID, Basle Banking Committee, FAO and WTO, as well as a number of law firms specializing in corporate governance, bankruptcy, and patents.
I offer a top-drawer product, supported by my experience in an international organization, meticulous care for terminology, lucid style, and personal attention.
Before returning full-time to the private market in 1999, I have worked for six years as a senior translator at the World Bank in Washington, D.C. While at the Bank, I have been directly responsible for translation and revision of many operational and highly visible documents, including such key publications as the World Development Report and Annual Report.
After leaving the Bank I concentrated on banking and finance, as well as corporate law, litigation, patents and oil and gas industry, providing translations to the IMF, GEF, EBRD, the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Commerce and others. Notably, I have been continually translating materials for the in-country edition of the IMF Finance and Development magazine.
I am accredited by the American Translators Association for Russian-English and English-Russian language pairs and am certified by the U.S. Department of State for the same combinations, as well as for Hebrew-English. In fact, I am one of the top State Department independent translators working in these two languages.
