Accuracy in a timely manner is the core of my service. Since 2007, I have been translating, self-editing, and voice recording hundreds of projects, from English to Mandarin and Cantonese for a software company. Through my service, I have helped many doctors, hospitals, insurance, and utility companies across the United States and Canada (including many well-known hospitals in the United States). For five years, I have not had a single complaint from any clients and their thousands of end users. Many of the contents are serious directions and instructions, concerning the well-being of their patients and the success of their businesses.

I interpreted from English to Cantonese as a first time freelancer for an American exporter selling to Hong Kong in 1995. Since then, I have come to understand that the purpose of translating is to convey accurate information and improve communication. To achieve the goal, good translation involves excellent understanding and precise application of the language art.

Being born and educated in China, I (Aiwen) am a native speaker of Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese). I have been speaking English exclusively since 1988 when I moved and studied in the United States. English is the mother tongue of my husband and children. I (Aiwen Kostmayer) have three college degrees which are BA in English (China); BS in accounting, and Master in Business Administration (America). I am a lifelong reader and learner in English and Chinese. I keep up to date in accounting, tax law, computer technology, some general and specific medical knowledge, health, education, nature and travel. Practice gives me excellent reading comprehension. Writing in both English and Chinese has been an important part of my professions.

I have been an English and Chinese teacher, accountant in both private and public industries, and freelance translator mainly in general medical, business and accounting fields. Above all, I enjoy the variety and flexibility as a freelance translator, which offers me the opportunity to learn, grow, and interact with professionals around the world.
