I have translated texts on different and varied subjects, including many texts of different kinds on commerce, marketing and publicity, travel and tourism, art and entertainment, together with some literary passages, press releases and websites. I also translated a book about making paper planes! A regular commitment for seceral years was translating one issue each month of a fortnightly magazine on the Gods of Ancient Egypt.

I also worked as a simultaneous French/English English/French translator at the Lambeth Conference in 1998. This is the 10-yearly meeting for all Bishops of the Anglican Communion (Church) throughout the world. I have some knowledge of Spanish and German, as well as being fluent in French. I have also translated from English into French but I am not a native French speaker. I have worked a lot in desktop publishing (Quark Xpress and Microsoft Publisher 2003) and have worked on designing a website. I am familiar with both the Mac computer and the PC.

I am English, and I live in England. I have a degree in French from Birmingham University, England. I have worked as assistant to a book publisher, so I am skilled in editing and proofreading as well as in word processing and desk-top publishing. I use Microsoft Office 2003 programs (including Publisher and Powerpoint) but have experience in dealing with material from other programs as well (including those for a Mac). I can devote most of my time to translating if necessary, especially if the text is urgently required, so even long texts should be turned around quickly. My rates are from £0.07/0.08Euros per word.
