On having successfully completed a number of contracts over the past few years, I am now once again available to my old and new clients for freelance translation assignments.
From 2003-2005 I was, as project and business development manager for one of the leading translation agencies in Ireland, responsible for all aspects of translation service management and project development. Some high-profile projects handled during that time included the provision of translation services to the extremely successful Irish Government website [www.eu2004.ie] during Ireland's Presidency of the European Union, to the Dutch Government website [www.eu2004.nl] during the Netherlands' Presidency of the European Union and, subsequently, the UK Presidency of the European Union. Other "big names" served by me over these 24 months included, among many other government and EU agencies as well as clients from industry and commerce, Microsoft, Dell, Roche etc .
This assignment was followed by two years as Tutor and Lecturer in Law at the University of Limerick and the Limerick Institute of Technology in Ireland before I returned to the real estate profession as consultant early in 2007.
I am a native German speaker with excellent, fluent English language skills, both written and spoken, and a proven track record of high-quality translations into both German and English.
Because I have worked as a project manager in the translation industry myself, I know what clients and outsourcers need and expect and deliver exactly that - in a professional and reliable manner as I have always done in the past.
The above mentioned linguistic skills coupled with state-of-the-art technical equipment, excellent organisational and communicative skills and a good measure of creativity (where required and appropriate) are more than just a promise of first class translation services.
