We’re so early on this title, we don’t have any art to show you, but it’s a BIG family movie for DreamWorks/Paramount, releasing Spring 2009.
Directed by first time director Thor Freudenthal, and Produced by Laura Schuler Donner, who has brought us FREE WILLY, and the XMEN franchise.
It concerns an orphaned brother and sister who hide their dog in an abandoned hotel, which soon becomes a place for lots of other abandoned dogs.
This is a real feel good movie which the whole Family will enjoy.

We steken van wal met een verbazingwekkende film van een van de slimste en populairste filmregisseurs van tegenwoordig: J.J. Abrams.
De producer/regisseur van de boeiende cultproducties en kaskrakers Lost en Alias.
Regisseur J.J. brengt ons een film…. waarvan de titel nog niet bekend is. Wel is hij intussen al razend populair op het internet en valt hij vooral in de smaak bij onze jonge gadgetbollebozen van 16 tot 24 jaar.

Tal van andere beroemdheden vergezellen hen op het scherm, in liveaction of als de stemmen van animatiefiguren;
Joan Plowright is er ook bij als oudtante Lucinda.

Laten we de personages eens nader bekijken. Dit is Thimbletack, een goedaardige 'brownie.'
Maar ook Thimbletack kan zoals alle 'brownies' veranderen in een kwaadaardige 'BOGGART' als hij boos wordt. Gelukkig werkt honing bij hem rustgevend.

In het bos wonen uiteraard de kobolds.
Enkele tweedimensionale weergaven...
Als je ooit een echte kobold tegenkomt, dan kun je hem het beste bedelven onder een grote hoop tomatensaus...

De kobolds werken in opdracht van MULGARATH, de reus of zogenaamde 'ogre' links die van gedaante kan veranderen. Reuzen kunnen jammer genoeg wel tegen tomatensaus.

In het eerste kwartaal van 2008 komt Drillbit Taylor uit, een komedie met Owen Wilson, onder regie van Judd Apatow, de man waarover iedereen praat na zijn schitterende zomer met de succesvolle komedies SUPERBAD en KNOCKED UP.

THE RUINS is een horrorfilm over een stel vrienden dat met vakantie is in Mexico. Als ze samen met een andere toerist naar een archeologische site in de rimboe trekken, loopt het mis, want in de ruïnes wacht het kwade hen op.

Volgend jaar brengen we ook KUNG FU PANDA uit, een schitterende, nieuwe animatiefilm van DreamWorks Animation.
Jack Black is de stem achter onze held, PO de panda.

En zoals we gewend zijn van DWA krijgt ook onbekend talent de kans om stemrollen te vertolken.
Wat kunnen we daar nog aan toevoegen? KUNG FU PANDA, dat zegt genoeg.

We kunnen u van deze film nog geen teaser laten zien, maar het wordt beslist een GROOTSE familiefilm voor DreamWorks/Paramount, die verschijnt in het voorjaar van 2009.
Een werk van beginnend regisseur Thor Freudenthal en producente Laura Schuler Donner, die we kennen van FREE WILLY en X-MEN.
Het verhaal gaat over twee weeskinderen die hun hond verstoppen in een verlaten hotel, dat snel verandert in een toevluchtsoord voor achtergelaten honden.
Dit wordt een echte feelgoodfilm voor het hele gezin.
Teasers hebben we nog niet, maar we kunnen u WEL een kort fragment laten zien.
