I'm a curious individual who likes the idea of becoming more connected to the world by experiencing multiple cultures through research as i'm to young and financially unstable to travel.
I find that languages of any sort fascinate me and becoming a linguist is a dream that has been shelved as to allow myself to mature to the point where i can be empowered enough by my curiosity to actually learn the languages I love. Latin is one i dabble in as well as Japanese and Hungarian, i am interested in French but lack of patience at my current level is low so my first attempt to learn was unsuccessful and gave me a vague idea about pronunciation and the speed of which a fluent individual can speak French.
Being Australian I have the opportunity to witness and meet various people from many backgrounds and find that a majority of the worlds cultures can be found in areas close to my little piece of suburbia.
I find it easy to relate to aspects of different culture and find myself open to a variety of views and I guess that being curious about the world is only natural but i'm one of few in my HSC/ ATAR course and my area who are passionate about ancestry, Ancient history and willing to research it.
I believe it is important to follow dreams and to teach, learn and create is mine. |
