Aréa Translation is a translation, localization and subtitling company specializing in media & video gaming. Adrien Arnaud founded Aréa Translation in 2010 to help companies reach their target audience in France and the French-speaking world by providing quality translations in fields such as audiovisual and gaming, as well as travel, tourism, marketing and advertising.
Adrien’s passion for languages started at a young age when he learned English watching episodes of the popular TV show Friends on repeat. He went on to study English, Spanish, German, Japanese and American Sign Language, and graduated from UCO (Angers, France) with a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching French as a Foreign Language and a Master’s degree in Professional and Specialized Translation.
After working in-house for a video game localization agency, Adrien launched his business to offer premium services to clients such as entertainment companies, media studios, game developers & publishers, translation & localization agencies and more.
When he’s not translating and running Aréa Translation, Adrien teaches French Grammar and Translation to foreign university students in Angers, France, passing on his love of languages to aspiring translators.
