I am a dedicated linguist, working in the localisation industry since 2008. I have experience as German Localisation Quality Assurance Engineer, German Translator and Localisation Editor (German), having worked for both a localisation vendor and reputable game companies (full CV/references available upon request).
I have university background in psychology and human biology, but passed the IoL DipTrans exam in 2013.
While my particular specialty is game translation, I am well-rounded in general knowledge and have experience with marketing, publishing, technical and legal materials. I am currently looking to expand further into medical translation with the help of webinars and self-learning.
I am both creative and efficient. At each of the jobs I worked, I demonstrated the ability to log lots of bugs/translate high word counts/edit high word counts, without sacrificing quality. I have a high level of attention to detail and often spot missed references or idioms.
