My background is in the biomedical sciences, most specifically pharmaceuticals, chemistry, medicine, molecular biology, genetics, biotechnology, and microbiology.
I have extensive background with the Spanish language, having lived in Argentina for two years and Bolivia for a month. The latter experience was an agricultural internship, which involved a significant amount of translating and interpreting in the field of animal science and general agriculture. I received a BA in Spanish Translation at Brigham Young University in August 2001 along with a BS in Animal Biotechnology. I taught beginning-level Spanish classes for a year, and worked for a translation firm as translator/proofreader/editor for three years before entering the field of freelance work. I have done considerable translating in my work efforts, and I offer very competitive pricing and high-quality, timely translations. |
