I offer general translation services from Spanish and French to English. 

I specialize in literary translation. 

I have been a freelance translator and editor since 2001.

I have been teaching since 2003. 

My mother tongue is English. I have been studying Spanish and French concurrently for over twenty years with experience abroad. I began my study of both languages as an adolescent while living in Madrid for several years. 

I graduated with my doctorate in Spanish Literature from Johns Hopkins University in 2010.

One third of my graduate work was in the French section, including a comprehensive exam and an invitation to attend the Institute of French Cultural Studies at Dartmouth College.

I also speak Arabic and some Italian.
