I am an experienced translator, proofreader, editor and subtitler from English into Italian.

After graduating with a BA Honours Degree in languages from Venice University in 1993, I relocated to the UK and obtained the Institute of Linguists Diploma in Translation.

I have been working as a freelance translator for a number of international subtitling companies and translation agencies since 2002.

I have worked on a great variety of subtitling projects, from major Hollywood films and popular TV series to documentaries and corporate videos.

I also have extensive translation experience in several subjects and have worked on various transcreation projects (creative translation of marketing copy and advertising).
My attention to detail makes me a meticulous proofreader too.
I am also involved in an ongoing subtitling project for the Swiss–Italian television, creating and reviewing subtitled programmes for the hard of hearing.

I am currently based in Ottawa, Canada.
