I have been travelling to Russia since 1985, and have for short periods also lived and worked there. I maintain my language skills by visiting Russia as often as possible, and by reading contemporary Russian literature and online journals.

My passion is gardens, and I have an excellent knowledge of Russian garden history. I also lead tours of Scotland’s gardens for Russian visitors.
