I'm a practicing consultant psychiatrist (MD, PhD); stable part-time translator job with a major international pharmaceutical company. The State (such as it was at that time) awarded me my "Translator's Certificate" after I passed my examinations back in 1984. Books I translated personally: Kaplan&Sadock Pocket Handbook of Clinical Psychiatry (2002, Editura Medicala, Bucharest); The Maudsley 2003 Prescribing Guidelines (2005, Ed. Medicala, Bucharest); Dubin, Dale: Rapid Interpretation of EKGs: An Interactive Course (2007, Ed. Medicala, Bucharest). Significant editing experience: 4 other published edited and (in part) translated medical books, author of >100 medical papers. I accept a translation only if I am certain I can do it properly. I don't use CAT software.
