Auch Prozessorchipkarten kommunizieren mit der Außenwelt über eine serielle Schnittstelle. Im Unterschied zu den "dummen" Speicherkarten benutzen sie aber asynchrone Protokolle, wie T=0 (byteorientiert) oder T=1 (blockorientiert) mit bis zu 9600 Bit pro Sekunde. Dennoch besitzen beide Kartentypen ein einheitliches Kontaktfeld. Es wäre auch der reine Wahnsinn, wenn jede Kartenart oder sogar jeder Hersteller von Chipkarten ein eigenes Format mitbrächte. Die Standardorganisation mit der größten Bedeutung für Chipkarten ist die International Organisation for Standardization. Ihre Normen beschreiben die wesentlichen Eigenschaften von Karten jeglicher Art. Egal, ob es sich um einfache bedruckte Karten (ISO 7810), Karten mit Magnetstreifen (ISO 7811) oder Chipkarten (ISO 7816) handelt. So ist zum Beispiel auch die 8-polige elektrische Schnittstelle des Chips zu seiner Außenwelt bezüglich Position und Belegung der einzelnen Kontakte in der ISO 7816-2 exakt festgelegt.

Chummy Chip Cards
Processor chip cards also communicate with the outside world over a serial interface. However, in contrast to their less intelligent brothers, memory cards, they use asynchronous protocols such as T=0 (byte-oriented) or T=1 (block-oriented) with up to 9,600 bits per second. Absolutely nothing will stand in the way of you conquering your inner demons again afterwards.
Do not slug out any disputes or contentions with yourself before training. Make a decision in advance to go the whole hog and keep to your decision. If you plan to go for a run before breakfast, mull over the pros and cons prior to going to bed the night before. And then make a CONSCIOUS decision to do the training. In the morning, when you are still half asleep, and have to get out of bed, just remember the decision you made the night before, and block out any doubts or arguments against it. Put your plan into effect!
When we experience something nice, our brain releases a kind of "happiness" hormone called endorphins. The positive feeling they give us make us want to relive the experience again. But the reward really does have to be positive for the endorphins to be released. If it is not, no release takes place and the desire to experience the same high again fails to materialise. \nSense of pleasure: If we do something like going for a run in a beautiful wood where we forget all our worries, and could keep going forever without getting tired, we call it being in a state of "flow". This is one of the most wonderful rewards you can imagine!

Windows Installation Notes
If you install XXX for Windows without sufficient main memory on your computer, the installation routine may run very slowly. In this event, close all other applications and try running the installation program again.
If you want to reinstall XXX for Windows, and you do not delete the XXX group in Windows Program Manager during installation, you will see the icons for this group twice after.
You may see the error message(s) Error 301 and/or Error 105 when you run the SETUP.EXE. This normally happens if you have run the setup program several times in sucession. This error is caused by some DLLs being unpacked incorrectly when the setup program is run. If one of these errors does occur, restart Windows and run the setup program again.
The disk storage space required for installation may not be displayed correctly under 'Custom Installation' in the Windows installation program. This may occur if you select 'Minimum Installation' as an alternative before clicking on 'Custom Installation'. You can display the disk storage space required by (1) clicking ‘Custom’, then (2) 'Files' and then (3) unflagging all the components, and (4) flagging the ones to be installed again.
The Windows installation program only copies all the OLE DLL files once it has checked whether other versions are installed on your computer. If this is the case, you will be asked whether you want to replace them or not. They will be replaced even if the OLE2 DLL files installed are the same as the ones you want to install. No backups are made at any time. You should therefore make a backup of all the DLL files before starting installation.

In his first ad agency post before moving to Germany, his position as Key Account Manager for Electronic Technology included developing innovative projects for electronic dialogue marketing. Here, he conceived and managed several projects for Blue Chip companies such as Unilever and Shell.
He has been working as an independent marketing & advertising consultant for English language markets, language services project manager and consultant, translator, editor, proofreader, copy-writer, travel writer and journalist for English language markets since 1996.
