English to Spanish: Lancaster by Clements Ribeiro General field: Science Detailed field: Cosmetics, Beauty
Source text - English A DARING MOTIF: “THE BRAZILIAN WAY”
For the first time, Lancaster is daring to revisit its cult products and their packs in on-trend, fashionable colours. Lancaster has entrusted the decoration of its legendary sun care products and a new summer fragrance to the Anglo-Brazilian fashion design duo Clements Ribeiro. Over the years, Suzanne Clements and Inacio Ribeiro have developed a style with a slightly eccentric, bold elegance, driven by abundant, highly colourful motifs. Today for their own brand, their unexpected combinations of materials, cuts and prints, drawing on their English and Brazilian roots, distinguish collections with an absolutely irresistible and feminine mix-and -match appeal.
Inspired by their iconic motif, they have created a print with Brazilian accents for Lancaster to customise the sun care products in the range and their new summer scent. With this luxuriant bouquet of exotic flowers in vibrant hues of blue, green, pink and yellow against the Lancaster orange background, the sun care products will be our summer’s It-accessories.
Translation - Spanish UN DISEÑO ATREVIDO: «Al estilo brasileño»
mezcla totalmente irresistible y femenina.
English to Spanish: Smade's planet General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Poetry & Literature
Source text - English Smade’s Planet was the single companion of Smade’s Star, an undistinguished white dwarf in a relatively empty region of space. The native flora was sparse: lichen, moss, primitive vines and palodendron, pelagic algae which tinctured the sea black. The fauna
was even simpler: white worms in the sea-bottom muck; a few gelatinous creatures which gathered and ingested the black algae in a ludicrously inept fashion; an assortment of simple protozoa. Smade’s alterations of the planet’s ecology could hardly, therefore, be considered detrimental.
Smade himself was tall, broad and stout, with bone-white skin and jet-black hair. His antecedents, as has been mentioned, were vague, and he never had been heard to reminisce; the tavern, however, was managed with the utmost decorum. The three wives
lived in harmony, the children were handsome and well-mannered, Smade himself was unfailingly polite. His rates were high, but his hospitality was generous, and he made no difficulties about collecting his bill. A sign hung above the bar: “Eat and drink without
stint. He who can and does pay is a customer. He who cannot and does not pay is a guest of the establishment.”
