Source text - Japanese 特に、近年、2-八面体にFe(III)を有するスメクタイトが金属鉄と共存することにより、急速にスメクタイトが新たな非膨張性鉱物である鉄含有フィロ珪酸塩に変化(鉱物学的変質)するとの報告もあり、処分環境における鉄と共存したスメクタイトの長期安定性の確認が重要な課題の一つになっている。さらに、処分場での施工効率向上のため人工バリア全体を炭素鋼の容器で覆うPEM (Prefabricated Engineering barrier Module)の概念も検討されている。PEM を使用した場合、人工バリアに使用する鉄の量が増加するため緩衝材と鉄の相互作用の影響が顕著になる懸念がある。
Translation - English A report suggests that by coexisting with metaliciron, smectite containing Fe (III) on 2-octahedron rapidly transforms (mineralogical alteration) into iron-containing phyllosilicate salt which is a new non-swelling mineral. Hence, it is critical to confirm the long-term stability of smectite when it coexists with iron in the repository environment. Furthermore, a method called Prefabricated Engineering barrier Module (PEM), which covers the entire artificial barrier with a carbon steel container to improve the operation efficiency at a disposal site, has been discussed. When utilizing PEM, the amount of iron in artificial barrier increases which may result in the reciprocal interaction between buffer materials and iron becoming more significant.

Translation - English We regulated the isotonic sodium chloride solution supply to the robot to inflate it in simulated blood vessels of various diameters, and observed how axial and circumferential expansion of the robot affected contact pressure, friction force, and velocity to the vessels. To measure the pressure applied to the vessels when the robot is traveling inside a blood vessel, we used a strain gauge calibrated to the measurement of the vessel diameter, which changes in proportion to the internal pressure load of the vessel. We measured friction force by connecting a pressure transducer to the robot with a string and pulled it with a linear slide to measure the maximum instantaneous static friction force of the moment when the robot began to move.

Source text - English The paper presents studies concerning the decontamination of the soil samples polluted with cadmium and zinc, collected around the metal plating factory from Iasi County, Romania, using phytoremediation. Plants involved in the phytoremediation process (Indian mustard, salad, spinach, wheat, rape, hemp and fescue) were grown in enameled steel pots in greenhouse conditions, being irrigated with constant amounts of water at every three days, during the entire experimental period of 70 days. The main objective of this study is to show the removal performances toward cadmium and zinc ions, of the plants involved in soil decontamination and to establish the corresponding experimental conditions.
Translation - Japanese この論文は、ルーマニアのヤシ市にある金属メッキ工場周辺で採取された、カドミウム及び亜鉛で汚染された土壌サンプルを、植物環境浄化法によって除染した研究報告である。研究ではこの植物環境浄化法のプロセスで利用される植物(カラシナ、サラダ菜、ホウレン草、小麦セイヨウアブラナ、麻、及びウシノケグサ)を、エナメル塗装された鋼製の鉢に植え、70日の実験期間中、3日に一度定量の水を与えるという温室条件下で育成した。この研究の主な目的は、土壌の除染とそれに対応する実験状況下における各植物のカドミウムと亜鉛に対する除去性能を探ることである。
