One week we were reading about a significant recovery at the latest in the second half of 2002, a week later this upturn – forecast by serious economic institutes – appeared to be nothing but window dressing. I am an English native speaker and hold a German translation diploma, a German marketing degree and a German diploma in business administration (Betriebswirtin) - my thesis was on quality management in the translation industry. After moving to Germany in 1992 I worked in investment banking (M&A) and corporate real estate before becoming a professional translator in 1999. I am well versed in translating IPO offering circulars, annual reports, marketing material, contracts and press releases in a wide variety of sectors - including investment banking, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, telecommunications and financial communications.
