My name is Csilla Sajo-Kmeczko. I hold an MA Degree in English Language and Literature and a Teacher`s Degree in English.
I taught all age groups at all levels for 7 years in Hungary.
I have been working as a freelance translator since 2007 in Hungary and March 2009 London. My services include translation, interpreting, editing/proofreading, post-editing and subtitling. My fields of expertise include Tourism & Travel, Cooking/Culinary, Arts & Crafts, Cosmetics/Beauty, Social Sciences, Psychology, Music, Education/Pedagogy, Poetry and Literature, IT, Website and Software Localization, Private Correspondence, Brochures, Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses and CVs.
I am native in Hungarian language. My command of both written and spoken English is excellent. I handle Slovak language at upper-intermediate level. I provide all services from Hungarian to English and English to Hungarian. As to Slovak to Hungarian, Hungarian to Slovak and Slovak to English, I provide all services except for interpreting. I am fairly computer literate. I have an extensive experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook and PowerPoint. I am keen on acquiring the use of new translation aiding tools as well. I have been using the above softwares since I started university and have gained further experience as a translator and teacher of English. I have improved my computer literacy further by working as an administrator/translator/interpreter for a German-Hungarian construction company in Pinner, UK.
I like to achieve goals using my initiative at work, but I am also able to work with a combined effort. I have a “can do” attitude and can manage workload well. I am persistent, reliable, have a keen eye for detail and also capable of prioritizing. I am keen on learning new things and acquire new knowledge quickly.
