I am a certified translator (University of La Plata). I have more than 10 years experience working as a freelancer. My mother tongue is Spanish and I speak English fluently. I am registered in the "Colegio de Traductores de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires" and in the Province of Bs As, registered in the Supreme Court of Justice of the Province as expert translator and I am an interpreter for the Federal Court N 1 of La Plata. I did a course on legal Procedure to enter the Spreme Court and on Interpretation in Court in CTPCBA.
I am also a member of TILP (The institute of localization professionals). I am a certified localization professional, and I specialize in software, telecommunications and IT. I have translated for companies such as ECi telecom, Amdocs, Telefónica de Argentina, Nokia, Lebara, Flowserve, Trustwave, to name a few.
I translate on regular basis for a Law Firm contracts and legal documents from English to Spanish and viceversa.
I worked for the HSBC Bank, Court N 1 in Laboral Matters of Quilmes, Court of Preliminary Proceedings and Court N 5 of Economic Matters of Capital Federal. I have translated more than 1000 pages of tax income statements, invoices, business correspondence, business, loan, credit contracts, and business reports.
I studied administration and foreign trade and worked for the foreign trade department of a wholesaler of pharmaceutical products for three years, I contacted customers, quoted, and translated all the material related to custom duties, procedures, taxes, withholdings, etc I translated from and into English all the documents involved in the business transactions, letters, invoices, custom papers, prospects and dossiers of the drugs and manuals of the devices such as insulin pumps and glucometeres, etc
I also work in the tourism and hotel industry area and have translated several brochures and web pages related to tourism and the hospitality industry.
I love sports, and have translated more than 500 pages on swimming techniques, boat races, squash, tennis and football. I have translated more than 300000 words on related topics such as online betting and interviews to athletes and descriptions of sport equipment and several poker pages.
Medicine is also a subject of personal interest, I did a seminar of specialization on translation of medical contents at University (UNLP) and have worked for several doctors specially in the fields of infectology, AIDS, cancer and chronic diseases. The wholesaler I worked for has a special department which runs follow up programs for patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes, ostheoporosis, EPOC, epilepsia, etc and I translate all the topics related to them from descriptions of the diseases and symptoms to advances in treatments and new drugs. I have translated and proofreaded more than 1000000 words.
