My motto - Passionate about preserving the “world” that each language encompasses
I was born and raised in Latvia but currently I'm living in San Diego, U.S. I have always been interested in learning new languages and immersing myself in different cultures. Therefore, I have been fortunate enough to travel quite a lot, capturing one of the best experiences a person can have. I have graduated from the University College of Economics and Culture (LV) and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpreting (2016). I have also graduated from Flute class, therefore, I do have some knowledge in music (literature, solfeggio etc.)
My career as a translator has just begun; I have gained my previous experience from internships, side project and Upwork. I am willing to learn, grow and become a part of something greater! Ideally, to work with somebody long-term.
Until now I have done translation in university (economy/politics articles, legal doc, recipe, instruction manual translation), internships (book translation, voice-over, subtitle translation), blog translation/editing, article writing, product marketing, HR
Preferred working languages are Latvian and English. Yet I am also open to Russian language offers, and would as well appreciate beginner Spanish language offers.
I am very accurate and goal-oriented, willing to cooperate closely to obtain the best results. Usually translations are carried out in Microsoft Word document providing comments/solutions. Work offers with other softwares are also appreciated - I am a quick learner! Professional attitude and deadline commitment guaranteed. If you need a 'fresh eye' and an individual approach, feel free to contact me. |
