Da ***** vor allen Dingen "richtige" Instrumente verwendet, käme man kaum auf die Idee, dass hier ein Heimfrickler am Werke ist - zumal Hicken Ideen und Einfälle für mindestens vier hat - und doch ist es so. Anders als viele Projekte dieser Art verlässt sich Hicken nämlich nicht auf die technischen Möglichkeiten seiner Aufnahmegeräte, sondern bloß und alleine auf seine Songs - und diese können sich mit den besten des Genres durchaus messen, wobei Hicks alles einfließen lässt, was ihm musikalisch so gerade in den Sinn kommt: Reggae, Blues, Pop, Latin - gerade so, als habe er bei geöffnetem Fenster komponiert. Auch wenn die Scheibe zuweilen ein wenig melancholisch klingt - was eingedenk o.a.
