Mardi, le titre Natixis, a été le plus attaqué : il a cédé 5,46%, tandis que Société Générale, BNP Paribas et Crédit Agricole SA ont respectivement décroché de 4,38 %, 3,56 % et 4,54%.
Depuis début janvier, après plusieurs séances de fortes baisses , ces établissements ont vu leur capitalisation boursière s’effondrer. Celle de Société Générale a ainsi perdu un tiers de sa valeur en l’espace d’un peu plus d’un mois. Das Finanzsystem muss so stabil sein, dass es jede Schieflage verkraftet – ohne das der Steuerzahler bluten muss.
In diesen Tagen wird dieses Ziel einem unerwarteten Stresstest unterzogen. Ausgerechnet Deutschland, dass bei der Bankenreform am lautesten aufgetreten war, bekommt zu spüren, wie es ist, wenn das führende Geldhaus der Nation für so viel negativen Trubel sorgt, dass die Märkte die Kreditwürdigkeit des Landes ins Visier nehmen. On Tuesday the value was temporarily down more than six percent, the worst result in the Dax index. Since the beginning of the year alone, the stock has lost almost 42% of its value. The industry leader of the fourth-biggest economy in the world was worth only €21 billion on the stock exchange.
The numbers reflect the market's massive loss of faith in Deutsche Bank. The risk that the bank will run into financial difficulty in the next five years is being calculated at a good 17 percent, more than in the depths of the Euro-crisis of 2012. Only a few days ago the theoretical risk was at eight percent.

Dans les temps modernes, les documents sont plus nombreux. Le code pénal des Mantchoux fixe la position des esclaves, des serviteurs gagés, des femmes de second rang, en général de toutes les personnes en état de domesticité. Une traduction de cet ouvrage important a été fait par sir G. Staunton, en Chine même, où il pouvait se procurer tous les éclaircissements nécessaires ; et un exemplaire que je possède du texte original m’a permis d’examiner les statuts supplémentaires, généralement omis dans la traduction. Au moyen des documents fournis par ce code et quelques autres ouvrages traduits du chinois, j’espère présenter un travail assez complet sur le sujet que je me suis proposé.
Lorsque je citerai le code, je joindrai le titre de la section et le numéro de la traduction anglaise. Translation - English ...The ancient laws of the Chinese concerning domestic labor or slaves appear rather incomplete, like those of European peoples in antiquity. In modern times, these documents are more numerous. The Manchu penal code defines the position of slaves, bondservants, women of the lower rank, and in general all people in domestic service. A translation of this important work has been made by Sir G. Staunton, in China itself, where he was able to receive any clarification necessary. A copy I possess of the original text has allowed me to examine the supplementary statutes, which are generally omitted in the translation. With the documents provided by this code, and a few other works translated from Chinese, I hope to present a rather complete work on the subject I have proposed.
When I cite the code, I will add the title of the section and the number of the English translation. For the historical citations, I will return to Ma Duanlin's appendix on slavery, from which they are usually taken; the indication of the year or the page will permit them to be found easily in the Chinese text.
The Chinese character 奴, or the term slave, is found for the first time under the Zhou (about 12th century BCE), when it was applied to state slaves. According to the book of rites of this dynasty, the Zhou Li or Rites of Zhou, people guilty of certain crimes were condemned to be slaves of the state, and as such, had to carry out certain obligatory labor while monitored by officials (Appendix on slavery, p. 1). This kind of punishment, analogous to our sentences to forced labor, is not found among the punishments of the preceding dynasties, the Xia and the Shang; in primitive times punishments were physical and immediate. According to the Rites of Zhou (Kangxi Dictionary, character 奴), dignitaries, people of more than seventy years of age, and small children could not be sentenced to state slavery.
The Rites of Zhou does not recognise any other kind of slaves than these individuals sentenced for crimes. Service in the houses of the wealthy was by bondservants or by women of the second rank, who could change their masters at will (Appendix on slavery, p. 1). These bondservants, as well as state slaves, were outside the class of taxpayers. At least by the letter of the law there were then no slaves in private houses. [1]
Prisoners captured from the Tartars or other neighbouring peoples were probably made state slaves, as criminals were; but ancient books give no information on the subject. Later, toward the sixth or seventh century of our era [sic; BCE], the feudal system of the Zhou broke apart through the insubordination of the great vassals. Each of them, governing independently, often became vexed and killed his servants (Zuo Zhuan, passim), and among the servants were eunuchs (Zuo Zhuan, Shi Jing). It seems that servants in this era did not have the freedom that the Rites of Zhou attributed to them. However, history does not mention private slaves, at least as far as I have been able to determine. In the third century BCE, under Qin Shihuang, the most fearsome Tartar horde was called the Xiongnu, wicked slaves, by the Chinese; but this insulting name does not prove that the Chinese had private slaves then, but could allude to criminals who had become state slaves.
[1] This legislation of the Zhou offers a remarkable analogy with that of the ancient Persian empire, which did not recognise slavery. The population of Persia was divided into four classes. That of China was divided into nine, of which the first eight formed the taxpaying people, and the ninth, bondservants. The Persian legislation has been discussed in detail in a paper by Mr. Dureau de la Malle on the population and products of Persia up until the Arab Conquest.
