1.2.1 Slew bearing
The slew bearing is bolted to both the deck and pedestal and has an integral gear to provide a drive via a hydraulic motor and gearboxes situated on the machinery deck. The slew bearing has eddy current monitoring system (ECMS), a bearing integrated measuring system to check the raceways and radii of all designs of large-diameter bearings, predominantly roller bearings, for possible damage such as wear, pitting and cracks.
1.2.2 Slip Ring InterFace

The slip ring interfaces electrical signals and power supply between the Oil platform and the rotating super structure of the crane.
The Trolex TX4727 slip ring has been designed specifically for use on offshore Pedestal Cranes. It has been certified by Baseefa (2001) Ltd as conforming to the requirements of EN 50 014, EN 50 019 II 2GD Ce1180 code EExde IIB T100°C for use in Zone 1, 2, 21 & 22 Hazardous Ares with ingress protection.
The slip details are listed below:
• Motor 1 is supplied with essentials service power, while motor 2 is supplied with Normal supply. In case of power failure one motor will be able to provide limited services to the crane (one motion at a time).
• The cranes electrical distribution board is backed up by UPS
• Aviation lightings are provided thorough the slip ring and control by the platform
• Fire and gas alarms and signals are relayed to the platform. Refer to section 1.7.7 and the electrical circuits
• CCTV signals
• Manual Alarm Calling Point (MACP)
• Spare rings for 230V future use.
• Additional sliprings for CCTV signals from platform to eliminate blind spots.

1.2.1 Подшипник поворотного механизма
Подшипник поворотного механизма крепится на болтах к палубе и колонне и снабжен встроенной зубчатой передачей для передачи усилия от гидравлического мотора и редукторами, которые расположены на машинной платформе. Подшипник поворотного механизма оснащен системой контроля вихревых токов (ECMS), объединенной с подшипником системой измерительных приборов для контроля возможных повреждений беговых дорожек и радиусов для любых конструкций подшипников большого диаметра (например, контроль износа, коррозии и трещин).
1.2.2 Сопряжение с токосъемником

Через токосъемник осуществляется передача электрических сигналов и электропитания между нефтедобывающей платформой и поворотной платформой крана.
Специально для использования в морских кранах на колоннах разработан токосъемник Trolex TX4727. Он прошел сертификацию британской ассоциации Baseefa (2001 г.) как соответствующий требованиям стандартов EN 50 014, EN 50 019 II 2GD Ce1180 код взрывозащищенности EExde IIB T100°C для использования в опасных зонах 1, 2, 21 и 22 с защитой от проникновения.
Подробные данные токосъемника приведены ниже:
• На двигатель 1 подается аварийное электропитание, а на двигатель 2 - питание в нормальном режиме. В случаях перебоев энергоснабжения один из двигателей сможет обеспечить выполнение краном ограниченных функций (одно движение одновременное).
• Электрораспределительная панель крана резервируется источником бесперебойного питания
• Через токосъемник осуществляется электропитание авиационных световых огней, управление которыми осуществляется с платформы.
• Сигналы пожарной и газовой сигнализации передаются на платформу. См. раздел 1.7.7 и электрические схемы
• Сигналы систем видеонаблюдения (CCTV)
• Пункт ручной подачи сигнала (MACP)
• Запасные токосъемники 230 В для использования в будущем.
