Korean to English: Korean - English Song Translation (The Little Prince)
General field: Other
Detailed field: Music
Source text - Korean
어린 왕자가 내게 말했어
사람이 사람의 맘을 얻는 일이라는 게
가장 어렵다고 그렇다며 내게 다가와
어린 왕자가 내게 말했어
지금은 슬프겠지만
우린 서로 떨어질 수 없게 된다고
나와 함께 웃고 싶을 거라고

Translation - English
The little prince said to me,
“I just don’t think people understand each other
It’s the most difficult thing,” and came closer
The little prince said to me,
“Even though l’ll be sad,
We just can't fall for each other.”
But I want to laugh together with you
Korean to English: Korean - English Song Translation (To You)
General field: Other
Detailed field: Music
Source text - Korean
세상은 분명히 변하겠지
우리의 생각들도 달라지겠지 생각해 봐
어려운 일 뿐이지 나에게 보내는
따뜻한 시선을 때로는 외면하고
얼굴을 돌리는 걸 넌 느끼니(넌 느끼니..?)
너를 싫어해서가 아니야
Translation - English
The world is clearly changing
Our ideas are changing. Think about it
It’s just a difficult issue. Sometimes I turn away
the warm attention you send me
You can feel me turning away (Can you feel it..?)
But I don’t hate you
Korean to English: Korean - English Song Translation (My Love)
General field: Other
Detailed field: Music
Source text - Korean
Oh 햇살이 밝은 아침보다 밤의 달빛이 어울려요
이별의 그 입맞춤 잠시 접어둔채 이대로 이렇게

힘껏 안아줄께 널 그리고 말할께
나 이렇게 너를 외치면서 My Love
넌 보지 못할 내 마지막 눈물
힘껏 안아줄께 널 그리고 보낼께
나 또한번 너를 외치면서 My Love
넌 듣지 못할 사랑한단 내말
Translation - English
Oh The moon in the night is more well suited than the sunlight shining in the morning
The kiss of separation is put aside for a moment, so like this,

I’ll hug you tightly and I will tell you
With such a shout of mine My Love
You can’t see my last tears
I will hug you tightly and I will let you go
With a shout one more to you My Love
You can’t hear my words of love
Korean to English: Korean - English Song Translation (Rain Sound)
General field: Other
Detailed field: Music
Source text - Korean
이 빗소리가 니 목소린지
날 부르는 소린지
나만 널 생각하니?
이 비가 나를 위로해줄까
이런 내 맘을 알까?
자꾸 니가 생각나
Translation - English
Is this rain the sound of your voice?
It’s calling out to me
Am I the only one thinking of you?
Will this rain comfort me?
Don’t you know my heart?
I keep thinking of you

Bio
My name is Jill Schneider and I'm currently living in Seoul, South Korea with my husband. For the last five years, I have been dedicating my free time to translating Korean into natural English for the simple reason that it interests me. I think the Korean language is very unique and has many meaningful proverbs, along with several phrases that are their own version of English phrases. This made me realize how similar cultures actually are and I was so moved by the Korean culture specifically (including the food, music, and my sweet husband) that I wanted to move there, so I did.

As a Korean to English translator, I vow to treat every one of my clients respectfully and with a lot of patience. I'm aware that I might get some clients whose first language isn't English and that is okay. I will work hard to understand them and make sure they are satisfied. I will also dedicate my time to making sure each assignment is translated the most accurately, even if there aren't direct translations in either language. Lastly, I will work quickly and diligently so my clients won't have to wait too long for their results and we can be on good terms with each other's trust.

Thank you for taking the time to look over my cover letter and I hope to receive messages from interested individuals soon. Have a nice day!
