About me
I am an Oxford University Masters graduate and have translated in one form or another since I started to learn Latin at the age of 11. Translation from Latin and Greek into English was a major part of my Bachelor's and Master's degrees.

I moved to Germany after my Master's degree, having spent a year at the prestigious Stiftung Maximilianeum as a student, and after three years at one of the Big Four firms moved into recruitment as a headhunter and researcher. I have always worked in both German and English and translation has always been a part of my work on a minor scale.

Since the births of my children I have returned to work, this time in a patent attorney's office in Germany. I started translating officially for my office 1.5 years ago and am comfortable with the specialised requirements of patent translation. I find my excellent GCSE-level experience in physics, mathematics, biology and chemistry (I was awarded A-grades in all subjects at the age of 16) to be a good basis for the sufficient understanding of a wide variety of patent technologies.

My most recent non-patent translation experience has been a chapter for an academic history publication and the website for a start-up recruiting business.
