Hello!

My name is Louise Brattström and I am a translator. I have a degree in translation studies, mostly focused on the language pair English-Swedish, but I have also worked with translations from Danish and Norwegian into Swedish and English. I have experience in proof reading and editing within the previously mentioned language pairs and I also have experience with multimedia translation such as subtitling and localization. Currently I am working as a freelance translator.

COMPETENCES AND SKILLS


I am fluent in Swedish and English and am well acquainted with both English and Swedish language conventions, including grammar, idioms and the nuances between formal and informal texts. 


BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN TRANSLATION STUDIES, STOCKHOLM UNIVERSITY, 2017

I have a Bachelor’s degree in translation studies from Stockholm University, focused on both commercial and literary translations. During my education I have mainly worked on translating between English and Swedish. My education included an internship at the translation firm Translator Scandinavia, where my work assignments included proof reading and translating texts in English, Danish and Swedish, mostly in the commercial area.
