If one looks at the case from the point of view of the Israeli government, or from the point of view of ordinary Israelis, it is quite straightforward. Lebanon is a sovereign state, responsible for the actions of its citizens. An armed force of terrorists, committed to the destruction of Israel, has attacked Israel with many hundreds of rockets, causing substantial casualties. Israel’s response has simply been a matter of self-defence. Hezbollah is a terrorist force - and terrorists have to be defeated. Looked at from the point of view of the Lebanese, this is a different picture. Lebanon was just starting to recover, rebuilding shattered hotels, developing new businesses, attracting tourists, at last free of the Syrians. A lovely country, with rising hopes. Hezbollah attacked Israel, yes, but Israel attacked Lebanon, which was not Hezbollah. If Hezbollah committed an act of aggression, Israel committed an act of aggression in reply. We can take either side, or none. Perhaps it is best to take both. Those who say Israel’s attack on Lebanon was legitimate but not proportionate, that the attack on the Lebanese infrastructure will damage the whole future of the country, have a convincing case. Worst of all for Israel is its defeat in terms of world public opinion. All nations need to have friends. The Lebanese are not overawed, but they are angry and hostile to Israel. The world is not convinced that a few extra days of fighting would allow Israel to root out Hezbollah. The world is calling for a ceasefire. Israel replies by insisting on a few more days of bombing. That may, or may not, make military sense; it makes no diplomatic sense.

Liberal feminism is a form of feminism that argues that equality for women can be achieved through legal means and social reform, and that men as a group need not be challenged.
Liberal feminism is a somewhat conservative or libertarian form of feminism by today’s standards, although it is rooted classically in liberalism. Liberal feminism leans towards an equality of sameness with men (not a difference feminism).
Liberal feminism conceives of politics in individualistic terms and looks to reform present "liberal" practices in society, rather than advocating for a wholesale revolutionary change. Feminist writers associated with this tradition are amongst others Mary Wollstonecraft, John Stuart Mill and second wave feminist Betty Friedan.
Views of liberal feminists
Many liberal feminists tend to support the legalization of same-sex marriage or civil unions for same-sex couples. It is their opinion that the government has no place defining what sort of consensual relationships individuals may engage in.
Liberal feminists also tend to be pro-choice when it comes to debates concerning abortion. A common argument given for this position is that every individual should have control over his or her own body, and that this also affords them the right to make medical decisions regarding their bodies.
Because of this approach to self-ownership, liberal feminists also tend to support legalising or decriminalizing cannabis and lap dancing, a position often challenged by radical feminists and by the religious right. Liberal feminists tend to view the criminalization of prostitution to be a legislative act rooted in patriarchal control over the personal and business affairs of women, and thus repressive.

The term Religious Right is a broad label applied by both scholars and critics to a number of political and religious movements and groups that primarily are active around conservative and right wing social issues.
Sometimes the term Religious Right is used interchangeably with the term Christian Right, although some argue for a distinction. The Christian Right in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, for example, has made efforts to reach out to Orthodox Jews and Muslim social conservatives, especially in building coalitions against abortion and same-sex marriage. In New Zealand, there was smaller conservative Muslim co-belligerency against the Prostitution Reform Act 2003, although many New Zealand fundamentalist Protestants are Christian Zionists, and oppose religious freedom for Muslims, thus negating any initial moves since then. Thus, on some issues, there is a broader interfaith Religious Right that exists as a tactical coalition. At the United Nations level, conservative interfaith NGOs co-operate over issues of gender, reproductive and sexual health, lesbian and gay rights, family and bioethical policies. The World Congress of Families is one particularly important interfaith forum for that purpose.
While organisations like "Jews for Morality","Jews for Life," "Toward Tradition" and the "International Committee for Truth about the Holocaust" exist, these Orthodox Jewish Right organisations have little contact with other Orthodox Jews outside the United States, not even with Orthodox Jewish groups in Israel itself. Nor do these organisations cite talmudic or rabbinical exegesis for their opinions. Instead, they primarily seem to exist to criticise liberal Jews within Reform, Reconstructionist and Conservative Judaism.
In the case of Muslim social conservatives, the World Congress of Families may be difficult to sustain as a forum for conservative Christian/Islamic co-belligerency, given increasing US-Iranian international tensions, the Iraq War and Israel-Palestine conflict, which means that foreign policy overshadows any shared social conservatism that might attract conservative interfaith co-operation.
Conservative critics object that the term Religious Right involves stereotyping by leftwing political activists. Others believe that such stereotyping is minimal, and the term "religious right" is used more often than other similar terms (such as "religious left") simply because in the United States a significant number of evangelical Christians are allied with right-wing political movements. Persistent sexual arousal syndrome results in a spontaneous and persistent genital arousal, with or without orgasm or genital engorgement, unrelated to any feelings of sexual desire. In particular, it is not related to hypersexuality, sometimes known as nymphomania or satyriasis. In addition to being very rare the condition is also frequently unreported by sufferers who may consider it shameful or embarrassing. It has only recently been reported and characterized as a distinct syndrome in medical literature.
Physical arousal caused by this syndrome can be very intense and persist for extended periods, days or weeks at a time. Orgasm can sometimes provide temporary relief, but within hours the symptoms return. The symptoms can be debilitating, preventing concentration on mundane tasks. Some situations, such as riding in an automobile, can aggravate the syndrome unbearably.
Persistent Sexual Arousal Syndrome can have a variety of causes. Some drugs such as trazodone may cause it as a side effect, in which case discontinuing the medication may give relief. In some recorded cases, the syndrome was caused by a pelvic arterial-venous malformation with arterial branches to the penis and clitoris; surgical treatment was effective in this case. In other cases where the cause is unknown or less easily treatable, the symptoms can sometimes be reduced by the use of antidepressants, antiandrogenic agents and anaesthetising gels.
