About me

Russian-Italian, English-Italian Medical, Literary, Ceramic, Web Site translation, Technical, Marketing and Tourism.

WHAT DOES "QUALITY" MEAN?

I believe in John Ruskin's ideology that "Quality is never an accident, it is always the result of intelligent effort." (John Ruskin, 1819-1900).
Translating means rewriting a text with the same passion and the same intent with which it was originally created; expressing the same emotions and the same goals. This, for me, means quality translation and a high-quality translation equals success.

I personally provide all the translation services needed. Working independently, I hold myself responsible for the services provided, and for this reason I review and check every work before redelivery.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

-In 1994 I obtained my “Diploma di maturità linguistica” (secondary school diploma with emphasis on foreign languages)
-In 2000 I graduated with distinction, obtaining cum laude qualification in Russian Language and Literature (second language: English).
-I then enrolled in an academic course on “Theory and Practise of Literary Translation”, obtaining a postgraduated certificate in 2001.
-During univeritary studies, I won a Study Bursary and I moved to Kiev, where I attended a Translating Course in Šev?enko University.
-In 1992 and 1993 I attended a College in Oxford, during the secondary school vacations.
-In 1997 and in 1999 I also attended an International Seminar of Russian Language, that each year is organized by the University of Bergamo.
