RATIONALE:
XXX is one of a new class of metalloenzyme inhibitors with pleiotropic activity against a range of human cancer cells both in vitro and in vivo. Although the intracellular metalloenzyme targets for XXX have not been fully identified, there is a substantial body of evidence indicating that it inhibits members of the M1 family of metalloenzymes that include aminopeptidases. Interest in this class of enzymes has been fuelled (a) by the finding that aminopeptidase N, a membrane-bound exopeptidase, is associated with tumour vasculature (Pasqualini et al, 2000), (b) by the marked inhibitory effect that knocking down certain aminopeptidases has on tumour angiogenesis (Miyashita et al, 2002), and (c) by the effects that specific aminopeptidase inhibitors, such as bestatin, have shown in in vitro and in vivo leukaemia models, as well as in a series of clinical trials (Ota et al, 1986).

There are three major ways breast cancer is detected: mammography, breast self-exam and the physical examination of the breasts by a health professional. topisch, mehrmals täglich auf die betroffenen Stellen dick auftragen, evtl. mit Mull
abdecken, besonders über Nacht, d.h. als Occlusionsverband.
2. Einleitung
Für Zubereitungen aus Ringelblumenblüten liegen zwei positive Bewertungen vor,
und zwar die Positiv-Monographie Calendulae Flos (1) sowie die 1996 publizierte
ESCOP-Monographie (2). In beiden Monographien wird als lndikation für äußere
Anwendung „Wunden mit schlechter Heilungstendenz" genannt, in der ESCOPMonographie zusätzlich „Entzündungen der Haut und Schleimhäute': Bei
Betrachtung des den Monographien zu Grunde liegenden Erkenntnismaterials auf
der Basis der veröffentlichten Studien, so muss man sagen, dass einige
Indikationen aus heutiger Sicht nicht ausreichend belegt sind. Pharmakologische
Untersuchungen zu antimikrobiellen, antiphlogistischen und wundheilenden
Wirkungen sind überwiegend älteren Datums und wurden auch mit
unterschiedlichen Extrakten durchgeführt.

According to user information, the composition is as follows: 100 g ointment contain 10 g Calendula flower extract in an ointment base of lard and cornoil plus antioxidants. The ointment is used to promote wound healing and is applied topically several times per day in a thick layer onto the affected areas and can be covered with gauze as in an occlusion dressing, especially over night.
2. Introduction
Two positive evaluations are on hand for preparations from Calendua blossoms, namely the positive Calendula Flos monograph (1) as well as the ESCOP monograph (2) published in 1996. Both monographs cite “wounds with poor healing tendency” as indication for topical application with the ESCOP monograph citing “infections of the skin and mucous membranes” in addition. When examining research on the monographs based on studies that were published, it is evident that from the current perspective some indications are not sufficiently documented. Most pharmacological studies on antimicrobial, antiphlogistic and wound healing effects date back some time and have also been carried out with different extracts.
