I am Italian, and I've earned a Ph.D. in Information Science and Technology in 2016 abroad, living in Portugal from 2009 to 2016. In this period I improved my skills in English (as my working language) and in Portuguese (language that I learned by living full time in Portugal).

In this experience I often found myself translating from both English and Portuguese into Italian, for several reasons, most often in social situations.

I was always an enthusiast of foreign languages and cultures, and working with foreign languages, translating contents and conversations, etc., has always been something that I wished to improve.

I decided to subscribe to ProZ.com to invest some time in improving my language skills, and explore the possibility to make a profession out of it.
