| Translation - English Although lung cancer is most often diagnosed at advanced stages of the disease, when it is difficult to reverse, results are significantly better in those individuals diagnosed at early stages, when the tumor is still surgically resectable.
When the disease is detected in time, the risk of death from lung cancer is reduced. For this reason, timely detection is, apart from prevention, the main currently available therapy to try to anticipate its effects.
| | English to Spanish: Buenos Aires Today | Source text - English Home to more than one-third of Argentina¹s population, Buenos Aires finally has all eyes on the future.
It¹s been said about other cities, it¹s true. But if there was ever a contest for the official City of Contradictions, Buenos Aires would stand a good chance of coming first. Opulent and squalid, grand and decaying, Old World, New World, First World, Third World it¹s no wonder residents of the city have always struggled to define their place in the world. Is it Europe or Latin America?
The answer is a little of both. The style, architecture and culture of successive generations of immigrants has shaped a city that seems, in parts, closer to many European capitals than its Latin American counterparts. Furthermore, Argentina has by far the highest standard of living in Latin America, with an economy that produces a GNP per capita of about $8,500 that¹s almost twice as much as Brazil or Mexico, and seven times greater than Bolivia. In the city of Buenos Aires, that figure rises to around $21,600 per person, comparable with Italy, France or Britain.
But try telling that to many of its inhabitants, wracked by two recessions in the past five years. Over a quarter of the population of Greater Buenos Aires lives in poverty, without the means to buy basic goods and services. And with unemployment in the city stuck above 13 per cent, more are joining their ranks every day. Wages are down, prices of virtually everything have fallen in the past couple of years and homes all over the city are up for sale.
A survey taken at the start of 2001 showed Argentines to be among the most pessimistic people in the world. In part, that¹s down to the character of the porteños themselves their famed melancholy is practically a way of life. But it also has much to do with a series of dramatic changes that have swept the country in the past decade, leaving its inhabitants very much in doubt as to which way they are headed.
| | English to Spanish: Disfunción eréctil | Source text - English Erectile dysfunction (ED) refers to the inability to maintain an erection sufficient
to allow for satisfactory sexual intercourse.
It may be caused by different psychogenic, organic or mixed disorders and affects millions of men worldwide.
The male genital system is composed of the penis, the testes and the seminal ducts, which include the epididymis, the vas deferens, the ejaculatory duct and part of the urethra. The seminal vesicles, prostate, and bulbourethral glands of Cowper are secretory glands that contribute to formation of semen.
The penile anatomic structures involved in erectile function include the corpora cavernosa and the corpus spongiosum, which surrounds the urethra. Each of them is covered by the tunica albuginea; microscopically, a trabecular mass of smooth muscle is observed surrounding a network of lacunar vascular spaces.
Phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE-5) is an enzyme that lies in the trabecular smooth muscle; it catalyzes degradation of cGMP which results in smooth muscle contraction, reduced blood flow in erectile tissue and the consequent loss of penile erection. PDE-5 inhibitors block this biochemical pathway and promote erection.
| | English to Spanish: Marketing | Source text - English And, Here's The Problem. Even if you are selling the greatest, most effective, amazing product or service in the history of the world (even free $100 bills), I GUARANTEE you that whatever you are doing to establish your credibility right now isn't enough.
You've got to BEND OVER BACKWARDS to prove that you and your offer are legitimate and believable, and it's likely that you're not doing even half of what you should do to maximize your sales. (Which is good news for you, because after reading this article you should be able to *instantly* increase the profitability of your website or online business. -)
You can blab on for hours about how great your product or service is, but without spending time establishing how trustworthy and legitimate YOU are, you won't make the sale. Let's take our attempt to sell $100 bills as an example. I'm going to dissect our ad and tell you everything that was wrong with it. Are you making any of these mistakes?
| Translation - Spanish Este es el problema.
