La solution APQ à été développée autours d’une architecture service où les différents services (gestionnaire de contenu, gestionnaire d’impression, …) peuvent être déployés et dimensionnés sur différentes configurations.
Le service principal de la solution est l’application APQ; cette application est un Web service fonctionnant selon le principe de l’architecture 3 tiers : base de données, tiers applicatif, tiers présentation.
Le tiers présentation utilise Cyrus (un framework basé sur une interface utilisateur XSLT) qui permet de développer différentes interfaces utilisateur sur l’application principale (APQ) sans aucune modification de celle-ci.
L’application APQ est exécutée sur un serveur d’application certifié J2EE. Les serveurs d’application supportés aujourd’hui sont BEA Weblogic et Tomcat. L’application APQ est développée en Java.
L’application APQ s’appuie sur une base de données compatible SQL, bien qu’aucune extension propriétaire ne soit utilisée seul l’environnement MS SQLServeur est supporté aujourd’hui. Le support de la base de donnée Oracle est planifié pour fin Août 2002.

The APQ solution was developed around a service architecture where different services (content management, print management, etc.) can be deployed on and scaled for different configurations.
The main service of the solution is the APQ application; this application is a Web service based on a 3-tier architecture: database, application layer, presentation layer.
The presentation layer uses Cyrus (a framework based on an XSLT user interface) which allows the development of different user interfaces for the main application (APQ) without any modification to the latter.
The APQ application is executed on a J2EE certified application server. The application servers supported today are BEA Weblogic and Tomcat. The APQ application is developed in Java.
The APQ application works with an SQL compatible database, although any proprietary extension cannot be used, only the MS SQL server environment is supported as of date. Support for the Oracle database is planned for the end of August 2002.
