Primer:
Auf Kunst¬stoffen z.B. Acrylwanne, Edelstahl und saugenden, porösen Untergründen wie Holz sind die Haftflächen mit Silicon-Primer vorzubehandeln. Hierzu den Silicon-Primer bei porösen, saugfähigen Untergründen mit einem sauberen, weichen Haarpinsel satt auf¬tragen. Auf stark absorbierenden Untergründen, ist nach dem Trocknen der ersten Schicht eine zweite aufzutragen. Bei porengeschlossenen Untergründen wie Metalle und Kunststoffe, den Silicon-Primer mit einem Industriekrepp oder mit einem sauberen, fusselfreien Lappen/ Tuch dünn und gleichmäßig auftragen. Weitere Hinweise im Technischen Datenblatt Silicon-Primer beachten.
Fugenausbildung:
Die Fugenausbildung muß der Norm DIN 18540 (Baudehnungs- und Anschlußfugen) entsprechen. Bei Fugen mit geringer Gesamt¬verformung (< 5 %) kann auch eine Dreiecksfuge angelegt werden. Gegebenenfalls ist ein Hinterfüllmaterial (geschlossenzelliger Poly¬ethylen¬schaum) einzubringen. Das Hinterfüllmaterial muß mit dem Fugen¬dichtstoff verträglich und darf nicht wassersaugend sein. Die Form¬änderung des Fugen¬dichtstoffes darf nicht unzu¬lässig behindert werden. Bitumen-, teer- öl- oder weich¬macher¬haltige Hinterfüll¬materialien sind un¬geeignet. Das Hinter¬füll¬material muß im eingebauten Zustand einen aus¬reichenden Wider¬stand beim Einbringen und Abglätten des Fugendicht¬stoffes leisten.

Podkladový náter:
Na umelých hmotách, napr. akrylových vaniach, ušľachtilej oceli a nasiakavých pórovitých podkladoch ako drevo sa aplikačné plochy musia vopred ošetriť so Silikónovým podkladovým náterom. Silikónový podkladový náter pri pórovitých, nasiakavých podkladoch naniesť s čistým, mäkkým vlasovým štetcom. Na silne absorbujúcich podkladoch treba po usušení prvej vrstvy naniesť druhú. Pri podkladoch so zavretými pórmi ako kovy a umelé hmoty, Silikónový podkladový náter naniesť natenko a rovnomerne pomocou priemyselného krepu alebo čistej handry, ktorá nepúšťa chlpy. Dbajte na ďalšie upozornenia v Technickom dátovom liste Silikónového podkladového náteru.
Spracovanie škár:
Spracovanie škár musí zodpovedať norme DIN 18540 (dilatačné a pripájacie škáry). Pri škárach s nízkou celkovou deformáciou (< 5 %) sa môže vytvoriť aj trojuhoľníková škára. V danom prípade je nutné vložiť zasýpací materiál (polyetylénová pena s uzavretými dutinkami). Zasýpací materiál sa musí s tesniacou hmotou znášať a nesmie nasávať vodu. Zmene tvaru tesniacej hmoty sa nesmie neprípustne zabraňovať. Zasýpacie materiály obsahujúce bitúmen, decht, olej alebo zmäkčovadlo, nie sú vhodné. Zasýpací materiál v zabudovanom stave musí pri nanášaní a zahládzaní tesniacej hmoty klásť dostatočný odpor.
